Original painting made plein air in the sand dunes of Provincetown Cape Cod during a week-long solo artist retreat in the Fowler Dune Shack.
While the retreat took place in early April, before almost anything had bloomed, vibrant dune moss glowed in green patches across the sand dunes, especially after rain. I was mesmerized by the moss, painting it over and over again.
